Chinachem is the first private developer in Hong Kong to employ Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) method in its Tonkin Street private residential development project.
The construction industry has long been troubled by high accident rate, aging workers and extensive construction waste. In this regard, MiC achieves 30% faster in construction speed, 70% reduction in on-site labour, 75% reduction in construction noise as well as 68% reduction in construction waste. And because all the modules are produced in the factory before being transported and assembled on the construction site, it offers better quality control as well. Coupled with other Contech like Building Information Management (BIM) and Digital Twin, etc., it drives a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.
